Civilization’s future and the law of Octaves

In my previous papers I covered what the sequence of Western civilization and the current transition of world civilization from the Atlantic world to the Pacific. I also covered the large scale structure of these changes and synchronicity with other large scale cosmoses in the universe.

This covers about 3000 years of Western civilization back to the ancient Greeks and onward to its final potential. That is the minimum scale to really understand current world events.

Now I would like to add to that a little but primarily focus on the future. I will touch upon a past and future that encompasses at least 10,000 years of world history. This is the scale required to understand an even larger context of current world events. That may seems overly ambitious but that is what is necessary.

A new cycle is born from within an existing cycle. There are just a few fundamentally simple rules to these cycles:

1)All cycles are born from within an existing cycle. Whatever the scale.
2)All cycles run to completion unless cutoff from a higher process.
3)Cycles are expressed hyperbolically.
4)When a cycle ends all things supported by that cycle come to an end as they lose support.
5)Cycles are self similar at all levels and progress according to the law of octaves in a very structured and ordered form.
6)Cycles end abruptly and move back to the beginning in a very structured manner. Similar to the way they unfold but in a compressed time according to the same law of octaves.
7)From one point of view of geometry they unfold in a expanding helical pattern which leads to time synchronicities between higher and lower levels.
8)There are harmonic synchronicities between various cycles (cosmoses) within the universe.

Civilizations are a cycle/cosmos and such are subject to the law of octaves. This is why in the historical record, civilizations collapse abruptly. But a set of octaves at one level is just one octave in a sequence at a higher level.

The one dark bar running diagonally in figure 1 is just a single note within a larger set of octaves. All of western civilization was born of Egyptian civilization. Itself one octave composed of a smaller full octave at a lower level just like western civilization. Now you are talking about closer to 6000 years of human history.

But where is the next note born out of the current note and what note is the current note? In other words looking at the notes within Western civilization, what is the higher note of Western civilization itself. And given where we are within Western Civilization the next note in the sequence should already be in at least an embryonic form or higher.

The next note in a sequence always emerges out of the highest product of the current note. The parasites don’t get to create new civilizations. They may like to think they do, but they are the destroyers of civilization. Like a disease that strikes an overripe organism.

So when one looks for the very essential beginnings of a civilization one has to go back and search for illumined souls. In terms of timing Christ is too far back and transcends beyond mere civilizations. He represents a much higher process simply because in terms of mans relationship to the universe he is on par with the absolute. In terms of timing he is too early and in terms of conception he is far too big.

So we must search further, closer in historical time and lower in conception. One person who seems to fits this is Nicholas of Cusa. He is at the right time and conception. And one of the declared missions of his and his circles fits right in with the civilization cycles. And that is to take the best of all western civilization and give it a brand new beginning in the coming New World. Out of the long term mission to found a new world, based on the best of all Western civilization, emerged America. The first physical manifestation and expression of this intention was the Massachusetts Bay Colony beginning in the 1620s. This was the first Republic of America. That first expression lasted about 70 years.

The second expression came about at the same time as the British empire. Only America could really contend with or defeat the British. As a rule only a titan can contend with another titan. In other words only one civilization can compete with another. Or a civilization that is in its early embryonic stages with an abundance of energy. And an embryonic stage on this scale of octave is going to be in the many hundreds of years. I think the name “Constitution of the United States of America” (CUSA) is one of this republics founder’s inside jokes. This is the second republic of America.

Now let’s switch to the current world situation and orient ourselves on this basis of almost 10,000 years from the past and into the future. The Synthetic civilization[1] is going to be centered in Asia for its duration. China on the first rise and maybe India on the second. It is already very materialistic in its outlook. The Synthetic civilization has reached a young maturity and is therefore moving towards a Sativic balance. But it is still towards the Tamastic materialism viewpoint at the even the higher level of the full octave. After all it is Si, or last octave, in the full sequence. It is why Asians are culturally the way they are. So it should not be surprising that former communists are going to lead it. As the last note it is not going to give birth to others. And it already has a certain sterility to it.

In any case this civilization has moved out and onward from the United States. As I indicated in the newcycle paper we are only on the rim of this. But we do still have corporations and individuals who can clearly be classified as members of this civilization. From the point of view of civilizations these companies are going to orbit Beijing and Shanghai now and not New York and Washington. And this is currently on an outer orbit. Even big corporations like Hewlett Packard, IBM, MMM, GE, CAT, are going to find this is true. I am sure that the shock of this is beginning to settle on the minds of the officers of these corporations even as I write this. If it has not dawned on them now then it will over the next year or so. The recent Google case clearly is along these lines. And this is going to be a cause of great anguish. But, collectively they have been very foolish and are now trapped.

This presents both opportunities and challenges. One thing that comes out of this is that some very big institutions in the US are going to really lobby hard for some changes in US policies that are more in harmony with the Synthetic civilization. Their survival is at stake. The challenge is from the same, because they will also have pressure put on them by China to put Chinese and other Asian interests above that of the US. If you think the China lobby was strong just wait and see what is coming.

My contention is that the US is currently caught between two worlds. On one side is the dying and corrupt renaissance civilization which is only interested in corruption, power and bailout. The Atlantic Elites are perched on the corpse of that civilization asserting that they are going to lead the world. Which is not possible and beyond absurd. On the other side is the new Synthetic civilization with its big corporate and Asian orientation. Out of that chasm I believe a third will emerge. This will be a full new set of octaves on the same scale as the beginning of all western civilization. One that will impact and ultimately define the next 2500-3000 years of world history.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the Synthetic civilization. It is moving towards its own Sativic balance and maturity. But it also implies a dependence upon Eurasia for America. And this is not the original intention of the founders of America. And it is certainly not the intention of American citizens. It would be losing the main part of our historic mission. That mission is to take the very best of all of Western civilization and make a new beginning. So we will have our stake with Eurasia. But it is not going to be our main focus. That must be on pushing outwards into first the solar system and then the Galaxy.

In the beginning of a cycle the potential rests in the people and is not yet manifested in the material world. In the US the constitution is no longer being followed. It is not manifest in the material world in the form of the US government any longer. But it beyond a doubt resides in the people. Much can be said the same about the spirit of 1776 and what came before and after. But there has been a kind of cultural break with all of previous Western civilization. And because a whole new one is beginning that is to be expected. When you are at the end of a cycle you are also at the beginning of another. So we are nearing a point where something entirely new can come with great energy and passion. This is something that has not happened in over 2500 years.

The US is therefore going to be a ground of contention for three civilizations; the dying renaissance civilization, the new Synthetic civilization and a whole new civilization beginning a new octave at the same level of all Western civilization. Remember I said that only a titan that can contend with another titan. And because it is a beginning at a higher octave it is going to come loaded with Rajas energy. It is this new cultural force that is going to come with such spirit, energy, passion and probably violence that is in the end going to sweep the others before it. Out of this turmoil will emerge the third Republic of America. The first one in which it will be able to give free expression the Intentions of Cusa, Leibniz, Benjamin Franklin, and all the others who came after up to the present day.

There is a new force that is coming into the world in a very material way. We are at the very beginning of this. There are many markers for it. I have said that everyone ends up into the civilization with which they resonate. They are bound to that civilization to which they culturally belong and which most suits them. People naturally sort themselves out. And clearly there is a third force emerging in the US. Maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the US population may end up in this third category. But this group is going to be the one with the most energy. This is way beyond politics, economics, etc. But will define the very ground under which these will be played out.

I said in my first paper that the changes were going to come on fast and keep on coming. There is no going back to “normal”. Many things are going to be swept away in the tide that is coming on. Copenhagen was just an early demonstration of the kind of changes that are coming and their power. These cultural forces are enormous in scale and anyone who thinks they can run counter to them is going to be annihilated. Into the crucible we all go whether we like it or not. Some kicking and screaming, but going nevertheless.
