For those of you that know Merv, you are familiar with his past success in timing the precious metal stocks. You have read his articles published on www.gold-eagle.com and www.kitcocasey.com, and his former newsletters that he published for several years, the weekly Technically Speaking with Wil-Arm and the monthly Talking Gold with Wil-Arm. You know that Merv has studied and researched technical analysis, developing many indicators and trading techniques for over 35 years, during which time Merv received his certification as a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) from the U.S. Market Technicians Association. Based upon such certification and his expertise in technical analysis, various Canadian Provincial Securities Commissions gave him registration as a Securities Adviser based solely upon the technical discipline qualifications. Merv was the first and still the only technician with such Canadian registration. http://preciousmetalscentral.com/

The Stock Market Barometer uses a number of analytical tools in its search for value. Dow Theory, Gann, charts, and Fibonacci are among them and we admit that we rely heavily on Dow Theory. We tend to avoid popular opinion and think the Bloomberg's of the world should be “listened” to with the mute on at all times. Gurus come and go, but Dow Theory has been around for 110 years. www.thestockmarketbarometer.com

Alex Daley Senior Editor, Casey's Extraordinary Technology Alex Daley is the senior editor of Casey’s Extraordinary Technology. In his varied career, he’s worked as a senior research executive, a software developer, project manager, senior IT executive, and technology marketer. He’s a technologist who has collaborated on the development of cutting-edge technologies, including: remote lie detectors that work invisibly across a room, autonomous/robotic vehicles that can drive themselves unaided across hundreds of miles of rugged desert terrain, computer vision systems that enable computers to understand the depth in 2D photographs, lightweight composite ceramics that can withstand artillery fire better than metal, maps of the human genome, automated analysis of video for non-verbal communication cues, and face detection and recognition for spotting people in photos and surveillance videos. But Alex’s technological experience is only half the story. He’s an industry insider of the highest order, having been involved in numerous startups as an advisor to venture capital companies. He’s a trusted advisor to the CEOs and strategic planners of some of the world’s largest tech companies. And he’s a successful angel investor in his own right, with a long history of spectacular investment successes.

Investmentscore.com is the home of the Investment Scoring & Timing Newsletter. Our newsletter service was founded on revolutionary insight yet simple principles. Our contrarian views help us remain focused on locating undervalued assets based on major macro market moves. Instead of comparing a single market to a continuously moving currency, we directly compare multiple major markets to one another. We expect this direct market to market comparison will help us locate the beginning and end of major bull markets and thereby capitalize on the largest, most profitable trades. We pride ourselves on cutting through the "noise" of popular opinion, media hype, investing myths, standard over used analysis tools and other distractions and try to offer a unique, clear perspective for investing.

Barron’s once labeled him an “intrepid trader” in a headline that alluded to his key role in solving a notorious pill-tampering case. He received a $200,000 reward when a conviction resulted, and the story was retold on TV’s FBI: The Untold Story. But to the gang at CNBC, he’s been a pariah for the last ten years - a shoot-from-the-hip kinda guy whose irreverent style got him banned from the show after an interview on Squawk Box was alleged to have gone awry. His professional background includes 12 years as a market maker on the floor of the Pacific Coast Exchange, three as an investigator with renowned San Francisco private eye Hal Lipset, seven as a reporter and newspaper editor, three as a columnist for the Sunday San Francisco Examiner, and two decades as a contributor to publications ranging from Barron’s to The Antiquarian Bookman to Fleet Street Letter and Utne Reader. His detailed strategies for stocks, options, and indexes have appeared since the early 1990s in Black Box Forecasts, a newsletter he founded that originally was geared to professional option traders.

A Daily Compendium of Free-Market Analysis. Appenzeller Business Press AG (ARBP). ARBP is located in the scenic Swiss village of Gais-one of the last bastions of free market thinking, culture and tradition. With just 3,000 proud residents, Gais is renowned for its free market traditions, respect for personal liberty, rejection of government intervention and reverence for Austrian economic principles. Still to this day, Appenzellers gather each year in the village square to take part in one of the world's oldest and purest forms of direct democracy, the Landsgemeinde. It's a centuries old tradition that happens just minutes from our offices. Eligible citizens meet openly in the village square to decide on laws and expenditures by the council. Everyone can debate a question. And those in favor of an issue signify their vote by simply raising their arm in the air for all to see.

Dow Theory Letters is the oldest service continuously written by one person in the business. Russell gained wide recognition via a series of over 30 Dow Theory and technical articles that he wrote for Barron's during the late-'50s through the '90s. Through Barron's and via word of mouth, he gained a wide following. Russell was the first (in 1960) to recommend gold stocks. He called the top of the 1949-'66 bull market. And almost to the day he called the bottom of the great 1972-'74 bear market, and the beginning of the great bull market which started in December 1974. In 1989 Russell took over Julian Snyder's well-known advisory service, "International Moneyline", a service which Mr. Synder ran from Switzerland. Then, in 1998 Russell took over the Zweig Forecast from famed market analyst, Martin Zweig. Russell has written articles and been quoted in such publications as Bloomberg magazine, Barron's, Time, Newsweek, Money Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Reuters, and others. Subscribers to Dow Theory Letters number over 12,000, hailing from all 50 states and dozens of overseas counties.

SmartKnowledgeU™, LLC was founded on a simple bet I made with a friend many years ago that believed I couldn’t outperform the best money managers on Wall Street. Well that year, my stock portfolio (with all long positions, and no options) returned 40% while the major index in the U.S. returned 6% over that same time period. In winning the bet, I employed some very untraditional strategies that I believed were the best ways to invest money, though the mainstream investment firms most assuredly would have disagreed with me. In fact, because my methods utilized strategies that greatly diminished the risks associated with the uncertainties of investing, they increased the probability of achieving financial freedom in a shorter timespan than traditional methods of investing. When I realized that these strategies would work repeatedly over time to produce consistent significant returns, it was at this point that I decided to establish SmartKnowledgeU™, LLC. Today, my consistent if not spectacular track record of predicting the various steps of this crisis since 2006 has attracted the attention of Reuters online, Gata.org, Google finance, Yahoo finance, Seeking Alpha, Wikinvest, the Financial Times, and others, as all of these sites have re-printed articles I have written on my investment blog, the Underground Investor.

With a degree in geophysics and a number of fascinating summers in mining exploration, one winter in "the bush" quickly led Bob into the financial markets. This included experience on the trading desk and in the research department of a large investment dealer, which led to institutional stock and bond sales. Bob's review of financial history provided the forecasting models designed to anticipate significant trend reversals in the sometimes alarming volatility typical of the transition from rampant speculation in tangible assets to fabulous speculation in financial assets. In anticipation of the latter opportunity, a monthly publication for financial institutions was started in January 1982. This competently covered the stock market, the yield curve, credit spreads as well as metal and energy prices. In 1998 the Institutional Advisors website was started as a forum for unique and reliable financial research. Bob, as chief financial strategist, writes the weekly overview - PIVOTAL EVENTS. www.institutionaladvisors.com

Paul van Eeden is President of Cranberry Capital Inc., a private Canadian holding company. He began his career in the financial and resource sectors as a stockbroker with Rick Rule’s Global Resource Investments Ltd. in 1996. He has been active in financing mineral exploration companies and analyzing markets ever since. Paul is well known for his work on the relationship between the gold price, inflation and currency markets. His model for determining the fair value for gold was able to predict both the run up in the gold price to over $1,000 an ounce between 2001 to 2008, and its subsequent decline to around $750. He also created a measure called the Actual Money Supply (AMS) to monitor the real rate of inflation. AMS is crucial to analyze real (inflation adjusted) changes in prices and to calculate the real return on investments. Paul stopped writing a subscription newsletter in October, 2008, and his past commentaries can be found in the Archive on this site. Any future articles will be posted there publicly as well.

A veteran stock market commentator, Marc Davis experienced his "baptism of fire" in this high-stakes business as a floor trader on the frenetic Vancouver Stock Exchange in the 1980s. He left the business for a few years after the last major stock market crash, known as "Black Monday", in late 1987. During this hiatus, he developed a successful career as a financial journalist. Working both in newsprint and in television, he insightfully covered the action on Wall Street, as well as the London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Toronto stock exchanges, and the Foreign Exchange currency markets. This includes working for the Dow Jones News Agency in London, as well as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Canada. In recent years, Marc has focused on Canada's venture capital markets, working as a mining research analyst, a financier and as a corporate development consultant. In mid 2002, he launched SmallCapMedia to fulfill the need for an electronic media publication that insightfully and comprehensively covers up-and-coming North American small cap and micro cap equities. He also runs www.goldproducingstocks.com -- an online portal ( and more) for emerging gold and silver mining companies. www. BNWNews.ca

My name is Sean Edward Blair. I have been involved in the futures markets for almost 18 years now. My primary focus is on accurate analysis of the markets and the direction they're going to be headed next. Although I cannot predict every move from minute to minute, there are times when there is a high probability that the market will react a certain way at a certain point. My objective is to know this and get the word out to people as much as possible, then hopefully benefit from it because these people are customers, prospects, or friends that are into accurate analysis. www.fastmktfocus.blogspot.com

Peter Degraaf currently resides in Sarnia, ON. Canada with his wife Roberta. He is an avid reader and studies business trends on a daily basis. He has mastered the art of 'Technical Analysis' , which is a vital part of successful investing. Born in the Netherlands in 1935, he moved with his family to Canada in 1952. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1954, and while in the service, started a coin collection. Soon he began to 'wheel and deal'. Upon his discharge from the Navy in 1959, he turned his hobby into a full-time coin business. During his many years in the coin business, he traveled all over Canada, Europe and the USA, including a booth at the 1964 World's Fair. While living in Ottawa, during the great gold bull market of the 1970's, his company owned and operated four coin stores in that city, and he became president of the Ottawa Coin and Stamp Dealer's Association. For a number of years he was a contributor to the Charlton Catalogue of Canadian Coins. In 2001 he semi-retired from the daily routine of buying and selling coins, to trading stocks on-line, and writing articles on investing. For over 50 years, from the days when gold was trading at $35/oz, Peter has recommended that gold should be included in every investment portfolio. And until the world returns to the gold standard he will continue to recommend it! His hobbies are: cycling, roller-blading, speed skating, cross-country skiing, singing in a male chorus, writing articles and studying the Bible for spiritual growth.
