Dear Friends,

Having business in Dubai complicated my return to Connecticut by adding a number of hours onto the transit time.

The return trip with a stopover in Dubai meant that in a space of three days I flew 8 hours from Joberg and 14 hours from Dubai. That is 22 hours of flight time on the back of a to and from China flight.

I spoke at two conferences in two countries and negotiated with two parties in two countries. Yes, I did see my kids in Joberg and that was great, but I still need a few days for recovery.

The trip was successful, enriching, exciting, and a re-union with my family all in one.

I flew on a Boeing 777 operated by Emirates, which is the most comfortable thing in the air.

I will be posting daily, spending 1/2 the day in office for the balance of the week, then back to 24/7.

Respectfully yours,
Jim
